Job summary

Broadcom in Palo Alto is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join the GPU Virtualization Team. In this role, you will develop and integrate an AI Virtualization Stack to provide hardware-agnostic acceleration for AI/ML workloads on Virtual Machines.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of related experience, or 10+ years with a Master's degree.
• 5+ years in ML framework/runtime development and GPU/XPU engineering.
• Strong understanding of ML frameworks and compiler technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate the AI Virtualization Stack for ESXi.
• Implement and optimize PyTorch and JAX backends.
• Analyze and re-architect performance-critical ML code.
• Troubleshoot AI/ML acceleration bugs.
• Develop technical documentation for features.
