Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking a Principal Data Scientist - AI Trainer to evaluate and train AI systems focused on quantitative reasoning and real-world validity. You will review quantitative work, design training problems, and write clear analyses to guide model improvements.

Qualifications include 2+ years in quantitative roles, strong English, and a quantitative degree (Master/PhD a plus). This is a fully remote role with flexible projects and hourly pay up to $60 USD.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a quantitative role or research environment
• Some coding experience with end-to-end analytical code
• Practical experience with statistical methods, predictive modeling, experiment design, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting
• Fluency in English with strong writing skills
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred; master's/PhD is a plus
• Credentials such as Kaggle rankings or cloud ML certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated quantitative work for technical accuracy and real-world validity
• Design and solve quantitative problems to train and benchmark AI systems (forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, statistical inference)
• Produce clear technical explanations for quantitative work
• Write and maintain well-documented analytical code as part of training
• Provide feedback that shapes next-generation AI models for quantitative reasoning
