Job summary

interface.ai seeks a Chief Engineer to own a domain end-to-end, architecting and building alongside a high-caliber team. You will set the technical bar by doing the work, lead engineers, and partner with the Domain PM to drive outcomes in an AI-native, frontier-model-enabled environment.

This is the most senior technical track, with a weekly council seat alongside the founders, and a rare chance to shape banking with an AI-native platform.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science required; MS or PhD a strong plus.
• San Francisco-based and committed to working onsite.
• H1B transfers welcome.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the domain's systems; set technical standard by example.
• Maintain and enforce quality and velocity across the domain pods.
• Steer and unblock engineers and leads, growing technical capability without pure management.
• Deliver domain outcomes in collaboration with the Domain PM.
• Embed AI development tools and frontier models as standard practice.
