Job summary

Storable is seeking a Principal Engineer to set the technical direction for our platform, including FMS, CRM, and commerce services. You will partner with product, engineering, and executive leadership to build scalable systems and shape AI-enabled capabilities.

You will write code, review designs, and drive durable architectural decisions while mentoring staff toward Principal-level impact in a fast-growing, hybrid work environment in Bellevue, WA.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience with distributed systems and SOA.
• Experience leading architecture transformations across multiple teams and services.
• Ability to influence technical strategy across orgs and at senior exec levels.

Responsibilities

• Set company-wide technical direction for product and platform architecture across core systems.
• Define multi-year architecture transformations to improve resiliency and efficiency.
• Make critical decisions on system design, service boundaries, data contracts, and interfaces for performance at scale.
• Remain hands-on by coding, reviewing designs, prototyping, and delivering outcomes.
• Lead AI- and GenAI-powered capability design, including safe evaluation practices.
