Job summary

NTT DATA AIVista, Inc., a subsidiary of NTT DATA, seeks a Senior security-focused Principal Engineer to own security end‑to‑end for AI products and cloud environments in a Bay Area setting. The role demands hands-on execution now with growth into a leadership position, shaping a security program across compliant industries.

You will define secure design standards for agentic AI systems, lead threat modeling, and drive compliance while partnering with engineering and executives to embed security

Qualifications

• 10+ years in security engineering or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with threat modeling for complex distributed systems
• Strong cloud security expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP
• Experience securing AI/ML or agentic systems
• Proven ability to drive security compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
• Experience leading security incident response and risk management
• Ability to hire, mentor, and lead a security team

Responsibilities

• Lead secure design reviews and threat modeling for AI products and multi-agent systems.
• Define security architecture and secure-by-design standards for AI agents and sandboxing.
• Embed security into the product development lifecycle (secure SDLC, reviews, dependencies).
• Build and scale security tooling and guardrails to support the business.
• Own cloud security architecture and posture across major cloud platforms.
• Run security programs, risk registers, policies, and audits (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Oversee vendor security reviews and compliance tooling (e.g., Vanta).
• Lead incident response, recovery planning, and security risk reporting.
• Hires, mentors, and leads a small security team; interfaces with executives and auditors.
