Position: Principal AI/ML Engineer (VP)

Role/Position Overview:
As a Principal AI/ML Engineer on our Data Concerns Remediation Management platform, you will drive, design, and develop critical core components while acting as a trusted advisor to the senior management team and lead architect. You will make clear, simple, and technically sound decisions and champion high standards of coding and architecture best practices. You will utilize technical expertise to lead major projects, contribute to product strategy, and work closely with the product owner.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and build high-quality, reliable software
2. Partner closely with other development teams, quants, and subject-matter experts in our business
3. Ensure our software platforms comply with Client's security and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes
4. Operate the platform at scale while continuously innovating and evolving

Skills and qualifications:

• Strong knowledge and deep experience with Python, Java, SQL, JavaScript (D3.js), Bash
• Experience with AI/ML, especially LLMs, and applying this rapidly changing technology. Machine Learning: Neural Networks, Decision Trees, SVM, NLP, Reinforcement Learning, Ensemble Methods
• Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), prompt engineering
• Understanding of advanced statistical/machine learning techniques, algorithms, and their application
• Data processing experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib
• Experience with CI/CD and MLOps tools/frameworks (e.g., MLflow, W&B)
• Experience building and operating large-scale platforms
• Strong distributed systems and system architecture skills
• Knowledge of modern functional languages like Scala, Clojure, Rust, Elixir
• Solid understanding of RESTful design principles
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Development experience with at least one public cloud provider
