Job summary

MSH is seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer to advance deployment and adoption of advanced software in secure environments. You will stay hands-on, coding and delivering production-quality software while guiding a small, collaborative team.

You will apply strong AI/ML, geospatial data, Python, Go, React, and TypeScript skills to build scalable backend and modern frontend applications, including CesiumJS mappings, in a remote-friendly U.S. setting.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Hands-on coding and production-quality implementation.
Backend development with Python and Go.
Frontend development with React and TypeScript.
Experience with AI/ML technologies or AI-driven software.
Geospatial datasets and visualization experience.
Experience in secure government/defense environments.
Active Top Secret clearance or ability to work in TS-cleared environments.

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior technical contributor supporting deployment of mission-critical software in secure environments.
Remain hands-on, designing, building, testing, and improving production software.
Develop scalable backend services using Python and Go.
Build modern frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
Work with geospatial datasets and develop processing, visualization, and analysis solutions.
Collaborate with engineers across teams to solve complex technical challenges.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship in a collaborative environment.
