Compunnel, Inc. is actively seeking a Principal AI Engineer to join a greenfield AI organization. You will drive architectural direction, build scalable AI capabilities, and ensure secure, production-grade delivery from concept to production.

The role focuses on Generative AI, data engineering, cloud architecture, and real-world product innovation, translating business challenges into measurable AI value with a strong emphasis on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven experience designing and delivering scalable, production-grade software solutions and distributed systems.
• Deep expertise building AI-powered applications using large language models (LLMs), agent frameworks, and orchestration platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, Bedrock, LangChain, and LangGraph.
• Hands-on experience developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, semantic search capabilities, and enterprise knowledge systems.
• Experience working with vector databases and retrieval frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, production-grade AI applications and distributed systems.
• Develop AI-powered solutions using LLMs, agent frameworks, and orchestration platforms.
• Design and implement RAG, semantic search, and enterprise knowledge systems with vector databases.
• Build AI capabilities for meeting prep, research, call summarization, insight generation, and workflow orchestration.
• Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, architects, data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases.
• Translate business problems into secure, scalable AI solutions.
