Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define architecture and tech strategy for frontend manufacturing applications. You will lead AI-assisted engineering initiatives and deliver production software to improve manufacturing efficiency and reliability.

You will mentor senior engineers, drive modernization, and collaborate with manufacturing, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions using .NET, C#, C++, Angular, and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years building and supporting enterprise-scale production applications.
• 5+ years designing system architecture across multiple applications or teams.
• Demonstrated Angular or modern web framework expertise, TypeScript, and web app architecture.
• Hands-on development with .NET/C# and at least one other language such as Python, C++, or Perl.
• Proven experience applying AI-assisted development tools in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and strategy for frontend manufacturing apps and modernization.
• Design, develop, and support production applications using .NET, C#, C++, Angular, Python.
• Establish and govern engineering standards, code reviews, and quality controls.
• Evaluate and operationalize AI tools and agentic workflows across teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and lead design reviews across cross-functional teams.
