Job summary

Shipt, Inc. seeks a Principal Agentic Engineer to design and deploy its foundational Agentic AI platform, optimizing real-time routing, pay, and coverage across the national network.

You will work with cross-functional teams to embed autonomous reasoning and multi-agent orchestration into high-throughput microservices. The role requires 10+ years of backend experience, leadership, and strong Python/Golang skills, with a focus on scalable, observable production systems and ROI-positive AI

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend software development experience with multi-region microservices.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and drive consensus to timely delivery.
• Strong mentorship to develop staff and senior engineers into future leaders.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang and experience with SOA and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy Shipt's Agentic AI platform for real-time routing, pay, and coverage.
• Collaborate with data science, engineering, and product teams to integrate planning loops and tool bindings.
• Ensure scalable, reliable, and compliant autonomous workloads across the network.
