Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-4.
• Education may substitute for required experience: 4 years above high school in any field with transcripts.

Responsibilities

• The Teller/Cashier functions as the Principal Agent Cashier (PAC) assigned to the Fiscal Service at the Miami VA Medical Center.
• Performs cashier functions and workflow of transactions, cash management, and disbursement of VA funds.
• Monitors and balances daily cash on hand and credit union accounts; ensures adequate cash flow for daily operations.
• Disburses funds in accordance with Treasury, VA, and VHA policy (Treasury checks, convenience checks, patient funds, travel vouchers, etc.).
• Completes monthly reconciliations and reporting to accounting as needed.
