Job summary

State Street is seeking an Advanced Defensive Architecture Engineer to secure critical network environments. You will advise the CISO and Cyber Fusion Center SVP, develop and enforce threat detection, monitoring, and response capabilities across cloud and on-premises systems.

Responsibilities include leading architecture vision, implementing monitoring tools, and collaborating with threat intel, audits, and cross-functional teams to reduce security risk and improve incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certifications in information security preferred.
• Experience with fusion centers, security operations centers, vulnerability management, and big data analysis.
• Ability to work independently with a large, globally distributed team.
• Able to develop and operate within a set financial budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the vision, strategy, and mission of the Advanced Defensive Architecture organization.
• Handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and detail-oriented work.
• Develop and maintain advanced cyber threat and forensics policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Assist with selection, implementation, and improved use of advanced monitoring tools.
• Research and implement technology, code, and configurations for threat detection and response in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Build and improve logging/monitoring infrastructure with cross-functional teams.
• Respond to threats in real time; diagnose, communicate, and remediate.
• Develop metrics and automations for defense capabilities.
• Brief executive management on cyber threat trends and insights.
• Collaborate with third-party threat intelligence providers and industry groups.
• Coordinate with various internal security teams and audit/regulatory bodies.
