Northrop Grumman Corp. in St. Rose, LA is seeking a Level 3 Accountant to support financial and accounting activities reporting to the Financial Controller. This on-site role includes month-end close, balance sheets, and payroll processing after six months of partial telework.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree (or master’s) with accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and GAAP familiarity; government contracting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of accounting experience (or 9 years experience in lieu of degree requirement) OR a Master’s Degree with 3 years of stated experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly in-depth knowledge and experience working in Excel
• Ability to work on site in St. Rose, LA

Responsibilities

• Preparing balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and consolidated financial reports
• Analyzing and recording financial transactions ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Providing troubleshooting support and guidance
• Miscellaneous accounts receivable reporting and resolution of payment issues
• Performing analysis of unbilled balances
• Supporting monthly cash collection and forecasting goals
• Interface with internal and external customers
• Supporting a robust and efficient month‑end close process
• Managing bi‑monthly payroll process

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Level 3 Accountant to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will report to the Financial Controller and support financial and accounting activities. This position is located on site in St. Rose, LA with partial telework available after six months.

• Familiarity with GAAP, FAR, CAS, IFRS
• Experience working in proprietary financial reporting systems

Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 – $110,900.00. Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long‑Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
