Job summary

The group also handles unforeseen financial projects that may arise such as business combinations and closures, requests for unaudited financials, process/policy/procedure reviews, etc. The group is also expected to serve as a business support and coordinate the finance and accounting needs of those business groups.# **How you will add value**The Principal Accountant, Americas Accounting will oversee US regulatory reporting functions, stand-alone financial audits, and business support. Duties include:Prepare and/or review regulatory reporting filingsUS - FINRA FOCUS reports, Banking Call Reports in several jurisdictions, Dept of Treasury TIC-B, and various Dept of Commerce reports and US Census reports.Canada – OSC M4 and BCAR, CIRO Form 1, OSFI OCFS, ICAAP, StatsCanadaBahamas/Cayman – SCB, Central Bank of the Bahamas, CIMAOverseeing and compiling several stand-alone audited financials, and working with auditors to fulfill specific audit requestsOverseeing and coordinating capital transactions with other finance teams (intercompany dividends and capital infusions to subsidiaries)Providing business support, internal reporting and analysis covering several key areas of the business, including Investment Advisory, Business Administration, Broker/Dealer, High Net Worth Wealth Management, Transfer Agency, and Internal OperationsHandling other unidentifiable finance requests required by the business.# **What will help you be successful in this role**BA required; MA preferred5 years preferred; industry experienceSound understanding of US GAAPPrior history with regulatory reportingHighly AnalyticalOpen mindedness to new ideas and processesCPA – requiredFINRA registered preferred (series 99 specifically)Excel expertise# **Work Schedule & Location**This role will work a hybrid schedule in our San Mateo, Pasadena, or Baltimore office 3 days/weekFranklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards – monetary and non-monetary – designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results.
