A Day in the Life

The Acute Care & Monitoring business works together with the global healthcare community to solve clinically meaningful problems, with technologies and solutions for blood oxygen management, respiratory compromise, and perioperative complications.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Account Executive to join our Acute Care and Monitoring sales team. In this role, you will be driving sales growth and market share by promoting our Respiratory & Monitoring Solutions portfolio to key clinical leaders in the ICU, General Care Floors, and Procedural Sedation departments. This will be an excellent opportunity for a skilled sales professional.

We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. This is a remote position not located at a Medtronic site; however, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license is essential for this role.

Territory: central and southern New Jersey, Delaware and part of Maryland.

The successful candidate will promote the Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) portfolio to specialists and clinical/technical professionals. He/she will practice effective territory management in planning, organization, and administration, including timely and accurate expense planning and control.

Responsibilities
  • Actively seek to develop and expand your territory through management and selling skills. Plan and execute work to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Be the product expert and provide education and training to all clinical end users and hospital staff within your territory.
  • Gather market intelligence (product, price, promotion, discount, etc.) through observation, discussion, or research, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Work individually and as part of the wider team to establish and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and prompt resolution to customer/patient technical and product issues, including after-hours support when needed.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have
  • Proven sales experience within the healthcare industry, preferred.
  • Clinical experience or background selling clinically.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with patience and persistence to follow through.
  • Highly organized with good time management and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Driven, self-motivated individual who can work autonomously.

Benefits & Compensation

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico) are typically listed as $75,000 to $85,000, with eligibility for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP).
