Role Description

The Elementary School Principal is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Soledad, CA. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day school operations, including instructional programs, student services, and campus safety. The principal leads and supports teachers and staff through coaching, professional development, and collaborative decision-making, while fostering a positive school culture aligned with district goals. Daily responsibilities include observing classroom instruction, guiding curriculum implementation, managing budgets and resources, engaging families and community partners, and ensuring compliance with district policies and state regulations. The principal also analyzes student data to drive school improvement, supports behavior and attendance initiatives, and promotes an inclusive environment where all students can succeed.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Educational Administration and Educational Management, including oversight of school operations, budgeting, and staff supervision.
• Demonstrated Educational Leadership abilities, with experience guiding teams, building positive school culture, and implementing school-wide initiatives.
• Expertise in Curriculum Development and Elementary Education, including standards-based instruction, assessment practices, and support for diverse learners.
• Relevant administrative credential and appropriate teaching or pupil services credential as required by California regulations.
• Experience working in K-6 or elementary school settings, preferably in a public school district.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to partner effectively with students, staff, families, and community members.
• Ability to use data to inform decisions, support continuous improvement, and advance equity for all student groups.
• Competence in educational technology tools and systems used for instruction, communication, and school management.
