Job summary

ROWI Teen & Parent Wellness Centers is seeking a Primary Therapist to serve adolescents and families on-site. You will guide clients alongside the Program Director, conduct individual and family sessions, and ensure ongoing assessments with proper documentation.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related field, licensure eligibility, and at least one year in mental health. The role emphasizes safety planning, collaboration, and ethical practice in a supportive, balanced environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in MFT, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Must be licensed or eligible as an MFT, Clinical Psychologist, or Social Worker.
• 1 year of experience in the mental health field.
• Proficient with basic computer operations and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client safety and develop safety plans.
• Maintain clinical documentation per ROWI and Joint Commission standards.
• Communicate safety and progress to the interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver therapy sessions per designated level of care.
• Engage referral sources and outpatient professionals post-admission; provide updates.
• Collaborate on discharge planning and group therapy (alumni/multi-family).
• Participate in team meetings with a positive, caring demeanor.
• Serve as a role model for clients and staff.

As a Primary Therapist under the guidance of the Program Director, you will be pivotal in guiding clients and their families through their transformative journey. In this role, you’ll conduct individual and family counseling sessions tailored to each client’s needs, ensuring ongoing assessments, and maintaining documentation standards. This position will be fully on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible as an MFT, Clinical Psychologist, or Social Worker. Unlicensed clinicians will receive supervision.
• Experience: 1 year in the mental health field
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with basic computer operations and maintaining strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for insurance on agency vehicles.
• Current First-Aid & CPR Certifications and a satisfactory criminal background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
