Job summary

Atlantic Health Strategies is seeking a compassionate Primary Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area. This full-time, on-site role delivers individual and group therapy within a structured, trauma-informed clinical environment, with a strong focus on veterans and military-connected clients.

Candidates actively pursuing licensure will find ample clinical supervision and opportunities for growth toward full independent licensure (LPC, LCSW, or equivalent)

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Active registration or associate licensure in Georgia and working toward full independent licensure (LPC, LCSW, or equivalent).
• Experience working with veterans, active-duty military, or military-connected individuals.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to engage clients with complex, co-occurring presentations.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive care.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing).
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and clinical consultations.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Coordinate with internal and external providers to support continuity of care.
• Engage in clinical supervision as part of licensure progression.
• Support dual-diagnosis treatment across mental health and substance use presentations.
• Uphold program standards and Georgia licensing requirements.
