Job summary

Within Health is a physician-led, telehealth care organization focused on eating disorder treatment at PHP and IOP levels. The Primary Therapist - PSYPACT role delivers individual, family, and group therapy, collaborating with clinical teams to craft tailored treatment plans.

Qualified psychologists with PSYPACT license and independent practice rights, plus 1+ year of eating disorder experience, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted licensure as Psychologist, PhD or PsyD (PSYPACT Psychologist).
• Fully-licensed therapist able to practice independently in licensed state(s).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience treating patients with eating disorders and disordered eating.
• Empathic, genuine, self-aware and competent.
• Initiative, sound judgment and strong interpersonal/time-management skills.
• Experience with DBT, ACT, CBT, experiential/family therapies, mindfulness or related modalities desirable.
• Understand and show sensitivity to cultural diversity (race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender expression, weight/size).
• Must not be opted out of Medicare.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients.
• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
• Create and update individualized treatment plans per patient needs.
• Meet with patients regularly to provide services and adjust plans.
• Coordinate and arrange services needed for each client.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress.
• Conduct group therapy sessions per program schedule.
• Involve and advise family members when appropriate.
• Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies as needed.
• Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate with outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Attend weekly staff and treatment team meetings.
• Create weekly individualized therapeutic opportunities for clients.
• Conduct concurrent insurance reviews for individual clients.
• Engage in advocacy work for mental health parity and community awareness.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Role

The Primary Therapist - PSYPACT is a minimum of a Psychologist, PhD, or PsyD (PSYPACT Psychologist) Clinician responsible for the individual and family therapy of specific clients, and group therapy for a group of clients.The therapist specializes in working with clients with eating disorders, is mature, flexible, and innovative, and brings a loving, positive attitude to our expert Clinical Team.The Primary Therapist - PSYPACT works well with other departments to create a treatment plan for clients.

What You'll Do

• Attend weekly staff meetings to consult on individual cases.
• Attend weekly treatment team meetings to consult with clients about individual progress.
• Create weekly individualized therapeutic and experiential opportunities for clients and communicate them to patients.
• Conduct concurrent insurance reviews for individual clients.
• Engage in ongoing advocacy work for mental health parity.
• Engage in community based speaking opportunities to increase eating disorder awareness.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted licensure as Psychologist, PhD or PsyD (PSYPACT Psychologist)
• Must be a fully-licensed therapist that is able to practice independently in the state(s) licensed
• Minimum of 1 year of experience treating patients with eating disorders and disordered eating
• Must be empathic, genuine, self-aware and competent
• Must take initiative, demonstrate sound judgment and demonstrate strong interpersonal and time management skills
• Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), experiential therapies, family therapy, mindfulness and/or other modalities is desirable
• It is required that the psychologist demonstrate understanding of and sensitivity towards issues of cultural diversity including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender expression, weight, and size
• Must not be opted out of Medicare

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Must have reliable internet connection.
• Must be comfortable operating a computer and smart-phone and navigate applications within macOS and iOS.
• Must be comfortable communicating with colleagues via chat, telephone, and video calls.
• Must be able to sit for the majority of the shift.
• This is a work-from-home position.Work should be performed in a private, quiet space with minimal background noise.
