Within Health is seeking a licensed Master’s level clinician to serve as Primary Therapist in our telehealth PHP/IOP program.

You will provide individual, family, and group therapy for clients with eating disorders, developing treatment plans and coordinating care with the clinical team. This PRN role requires weekend and holiday availability and is remote.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required and full licensure.
• Ability to obtain licensure in other states.
• Experience treating clients with eating disorders.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of various models and theories of eating disorders, trauma, and related issues.
• Must not be opted out of Medicare.

The Role

The Primary Therapist is a minimum of a Master's Level Clinician responsible for the individual and family therapy of specific clients, and group therapy for a group of clients. The therapist specializes in working with clients with eating disorders, is mature, flexible, and innovative, and brings a loving, positive attitude to our expert Clinical Team. The Primary Therapist works well with other departments to create a treatment plan for clients. This is a PRN (as needed) position. The Company does not guarantee any minimum number of hours or shifts per pay period. Your schedule will be determined based on patient census, operational needs, and your availability, which must include weekends and holidays, as needed.

What You'll Do

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality.
• Communicate regularly with outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Attend weekly staff meetings to consult on individual cases.
• Attend weekly treatment team meetings to consult with clients about individual progress.
• Create weekly individualized therapeutic and experiential opportunities for clients and communicate them to patients.
• Conduct concurrent insurance reviews for individual clients.
• Engage in ongoing advocacy work for mental health parity.
• Engage in community based speaking opportunities to increase eating disorder awareness.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field. Must be fully licensed and can work without supervision.
• Able to get licensure in other states when asked.
• Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience treating clients with Eating Disorders.
• Ability to demonstrate understanding of a variety of models and theories of eating disorders, trauma, mental illness, and related issues.
• Knowledge of philosophies, practices, policies and outcomes of models of treatment, recovery, relapse prevention, and continuing care for dually diagnosed populations.
• Understanding of diagnostic criteria for co occurring conditions and ability to conceptualize modalities and placement criteria within the continuum of care.
• Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into practice settings.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and work independently.
• Must not be opted out of Medicare.

Time and Documentation Guidelines

• This is a PRN position with scheduling based on patient and program needs.
• DIRECT HOURS: 3 direct hours for session time per PHP patient and 2 direct hours for session time per IOP patient.
• ADMINISTRATIVE HOURS: PRN Primary Therapists should log the exact time worked with a maximum of 3 hours of admin time allowed per PHP patient or 2 hours of admin time allowed per IOP patient. If additional time is needed, prior approval from supervisor is required.
• All required work must be documented and reported in accordance with company timekeeping policies.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Must have reliable internet connection.
• Must be comfortable operating a computer and smart-phone and navigate applications within macOS and iOS.
• Must be comfortable communicating with colleagues and patients via chat, telephone, and video calls.
• Must be able to sit for the majority of the shift.
• This is a work-from-home position. Work should be performed in a private, quiet space with minimal background noise.
