Ontario Trillium Foundation in Dunwoody, GA seeks a compassionate Counselor to provide individual and group therapy to women overcoming substance dependence, including survivors of domestic violence. The position requires a Master’s degree related to the field, CACII/CACI certification, and at least two years of counseling experience with substance-dependent individuals.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Addiction Studies, Psychology, Education, Social Work, Health Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Certification as CACI or CACII is also acceptable.
  • Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience may substitute for a Master’s degree.
  • Minimum of two years of counseling experience with substance-dependent persons is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly individual counseling sessions with assigned clients.
  • Facilitate 3–5 weekly group sessions, ensuring the required content is delivered effectively.
  • Develop responsive and measurable treatment plans based on client assessments.
  • Conduct timely treatment plan reviews to monitor progress.
  • Maintain clear, concise, and timely case records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Report incidents, abuse, or neglect to the appropriate regulatory agencies as required.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and in-service training.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in community planning teams and task forces as needed.
  • Serve as an advocate for clients and the organization.
