Venture Behavioral Health in Morris Plains, NJ seeks a Primary Therapist to manage a mixed caseload of mental health and substance use clients. You will provide individual and group therapy, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a clinical team to ensure coordinated care.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ license (LCSW or LPC) and a Master's in counseling or social work, with experience in co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications

• Active, independent clinical license in New Jersey (LCSW or LPC preferred).
• Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work across programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to clients with mental health and substance use needs.
• Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the clinical team on care and discharge planning.
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation.
• Assess for risk and respond to crisis situations with calm, sound judgment.
• Help cover other programs as needed.
