ROWI Teen & Parent Wellness Centers in Escondido, CA is hiring a Primary Therapist for on-site work under the Program Director. You will conduct individual and family counseling, perform ongoing assessments, and ensure documentation standards are met to support clients and families through transformative treatment.

Responsibilities include safety planning, clinical documentation, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (MFT, counseling, psychology or social work).
• Licensed or eligible as an MFT, clinical psychologist, or social worker; supervision for unlicensed clinicians.
• Minimum 1 year in the mental health field.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

• Monitor client safety and develop safety plans.
• Maintain compliance with clinical documentation per ROWI and Joint Commission standards.
• Communicate essential safety and progress information to the interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver therapy sessions compliant with designated level of care for each client.
• Engage referral sources and outpatient professionals post-admission and provide updates.
• Collaborate on discharge planning and facilitate group therapy (alumni and multi-family).
• Contribute to team meetings and maintain a positive, caring professional demeanor.
• Serve as a role model fostering a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Minimum of a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible as an MFT, Clinical Psychologist, or Social Worker. Unlicensed clinicians will receive supervision.
• Experience: 1 year in the mental health field
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with basic computer operations and maintaining strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and eligibility for insurance on agency vehicles.
• Current First-Aid & CPR Certifications and a satisfactory criminal background check.
