Job summary

ROWI Teen & Parent Wellness Centers in California (Brea) is seeking a dedicated Primary Therapist to guide adolescents and families through their treatment journeys. You will conduct individual and family counseling, perform ongoing assessments, and maintain documentation in compliance with ROWI and Joint Commission standards.

This full-time, on-site role offers a supportive team, no evening or weekend shifts, competitive benefits, and opportunities for licensure supervision.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed or eligible as MFT, Clinical Psychologist, or Social Worker; supervision if unlicensed.
  • 1 year of experience in the mental health field.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor client safety and develop safety plans.
  • Maintain clinical documentation per ROWI and Joint Commission standards.
  • Communicate safety and progress information to the interdisciplinary team.

As a Primary Therapist under the guidance of the Program Director, you will be pivotal in guiding clients and their families through their transformative journey. In this role, you'll conduct individual and family counseling sessions tailored to each client’s needs, ensuring ongoing assessments, and maintaining documentation standards. This position will be fully on-site.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible as an MFT, Clinical Psychologist, or Social Worker. Unlicensed clinicians will receive supervision.
  • Experience: 1 year in the mental health field
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with basic computer operations and maintaining strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for insurance on agency vehicles.
  • Current First-Aid & CPR Certifications and a satisfactory criminal background check.
