Monte Nido River Towns in Irvington, NY is seeking a Primary Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary treatment team dedicated to adults struggling with eating disorders. The role involves delivering individual, group, and family therapy as part of a residential program, and collaborating closely with families and outpatient providers to support treatment goals.

Qualified candidates will hold a Master’s degree in clinical counseling or a related field and be license-eligible in a counseling

Qualifications

• Master's degree in clinical counseling or related discipline.
• State license (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPC)
• Prior experience with eating disorders and higher levels of care is helpful
• Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities

• Providing individual, group, and family therapy
• Serving as liaison with families and outpatient providers
• Interact with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management
• Participating in discharge and aftercare planning
• Therapeutic meal support, while modeling a healthy relationship with food
• Provides safe, empathetic, and affirming care for each client and their unique circumstance based on the clients' intersecting identities

Monte Nido is a residential treatment program exclusively for adults seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Monte Nido's treatment approach focuses on the restoration of physiological and nutritional balance, implementation of healthy eating and exercise routines, elimination of harmful behaviors, and development of motivation and treatment engagement. Our objective is to help each client achieve a clear understanding of their eating and/or exercise disorder and its effect on their life, as well as an individualized appreciation of what is necessary for their personal recovery

We are seeking a Primary Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary treatment team.

Salary: $31.89-$40.87/HR

Schedule: Part time; Sunday is required, other days flexible scheduling.
