Job summary

Marin Montessori School in Corte Madera, CA, seeks a joyful and resourceful primary support assistant to assist two classrooms serving children ages 2–6. Responsibilities include preparing classroom materials, supervising children during staff breaks, and providing on-call support when teachers are out.

This full-time, 37.5-hour position runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 am–3:30 pm, with a 10-month calendar (Aug–Jun) and paid breaks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 ECE units, including Child Development and Child, Family & Community.
• At least six months' experience working with young children.
• Kind, joyful attitude with a desire to learn on the job.
• Interest or experience in crafting/material prep.
• Professional, reliable, punctual, and resourceful.
• Basic computer skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs, sit on the floor, and move up/down with ease.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.
• Collaborative and flexible approach to working with colleagues.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Fluent Spanish speaker
• Knowledge of Montessori principles and enthusiasm to learn

Start Date: ASAP Marin Montessori School is seeking a joyful and resourceful primary support assistant to support two primary classrooms serving children ages 2–6. This position operates on a 10-month school calendar (mid-August through mid-June), with paid breaks during the school year. During the summer months, optional four-week summer camp opportunities are available.
This is a full-time, non-exempt (37.5 hrs/week) position; Monday - Friday (7:30 am - 3:30 pm).
