Job summary

The Renfrew Center of New York LLC seeks a Behavioral Health Therapist to support treatment for adults and adolescents in a collaborative environment. You will deliver individual, family, and group therapy and coordinate with referral sources and outpatient teams to ensure continuity of care.

Qualified candidates hold NY licensure (LAPC/LPC/LMSW/LCSW or Psychologist) and have experience with eating disorders. This full-time role may involve some evenings in a warm, recovery-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Must have licensure in NY and relevant clinical credentials.
• Experience working with eating disorders strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy for adults and adolescents.
• Collaborate with referral sources and outpatient providers.
• Communicate with insurance companies to maintain authorization of caseload.
• Active participation as a treatment team member.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy for both adults and adolescents, case management services
• Collaborate with referral sources and outpatient providers (therapists, dieticians, primary care physicians, psychiatrists)
• Communicate with insurance companies to ensure continued authorization of case load
• Participate as an active member of the treatment team.
• Maintain clinical documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements

Education, Competencies and Credentials:

• LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PsyD or PhD) with a valid NY license.
• Experience working with patients who have eating disorders is strongly preferred.

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday, some evenings required.
