The purpose of the Primary Nurse position is to provide comprehensive patient care coordination, education, and scheduling for both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, staff, and the physician, ensuring a seamless experience across both aesthetic services and insurance-based medical care. Responsibilities include developing rapport with patients pursuing procedures to enhance appearance and confidence, as well as coordinating medically necessary services such as ordering hand therapy, EMGs, Ultrasounds, and other diagnostic tests. The Primary Nurse will also manage surgical coordination with other specialists, obtain pre-authorizations for medications, obtain medical clearances, and handle related insurance communications. In addition, the nurse is responsible for cultivating and closing cosmetic sales leads, following up with booked and prospective patients, and completing associated administrative tasks. This role requires close collaboration with the broader care team, travel to other clinic locations as needed, and flexibility to support and provide coverage for fellow nurses.
Experience in a medical office with a high focus on customer service. Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current licensure in Kansas and Missouri.
