Job summary

Designs for Health in Montana is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a production line and oversee daily manufacturing duties in a GMP environment. The role requires ensuring operators are in the correct positions, training staff, and maintaining high performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of production line/industrial manufacturing experience required.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operators in the department are in proper position during shifts.
  • Escalate safety, quality, attendance, or conduct issues promptly.
  • Provide on-the-job training to operators in the department.
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals with no direct supervision.
  • Cross-train to perform all essential functions in the department.
  • Cover for Production Supervisor as needed.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and correct equipment causing delays.
  • Follow GMP, SOPs and safety standards.
  • Set up and operate equipment within the department.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and neatly.
  • Maintain clean and safe work area and equipment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attendance and punctuality.
  • Exhibit teamwork and follow directions with attention to detail.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs.

Leads a production line and can perform all duties of production department, in a reliable and conscientious manner following standard operating procedures.

  • Ensures all operators within their assigned department are in the proper position throughout the shift.
  • Escalates personnel issues such as safety, quality, attendance or conduct, to their shift supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Provides on the job training to operators within their assigned department.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds in the performance of daily production functions under no direct supervision.
  • Cross trained to perform all essential job functions in all areas of assigned department.
  • Displays aptitude and ability to cover for Production Supervisor
  • Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot and correct any equipment or components causing production delays
  • Consistently follows GMP standards, SOPs and safety standards
  • Able to efficiently setup and operate all equipment within assigned department
  • Meets or exceeds daily goals set by supervision with assigned department.
  • Performs accurate weights, measures and quality checks.
  • Accurately completes all paperwork, neatly and correctly.
  • Cleans and maintains assigned work area and equipment
  • Exceptional attendance & punctuality
  • Displays positive attitude; teamwork
  • Able to follow directions and attention to detail
  • Basic math and computer skills needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 to 75 lbs.
