Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking two full-time Primary Care Registered Nurses to support the Dayton VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, following clinical standards and facility policies.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning and documenting care, administering medications and IV therapies, and participating in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
• Graduate from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of program completion.
• Current license from the Ohio Board of Nursing (unrestricted).
• Current CPR certification from a recognized provider.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and plan nursing care.
• Assess patient and plan appropriate nursing care.
• Document plan of care and care given in patient’s medical record.
• Verify transcription of physician orders; no verbal orders accepted.
• Carry out physician orders and document in medical records.
