Job summary

Sentara seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse in Virginia Beach, VA to provide patient-centered nursing care. You will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and monitor patient responses in a team-based environment.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, education, and safety within a high-quality care setting. Requirements include an ASN or higher, RN license, and various life-support certifications.

Qualifications

• ASN or Higher required.
• RN license required.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire; PALS within 90 days for Emergency Care; ONCC/ONS certification within 6 months for Oncology; NRP within 6 months for Women’s Care; PALS within 90 days for Inpatient Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care following the nursing process.
• Assess patients, design and implement care plans, and evaluate responses to interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments with safety and accuracy.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and advocate for patients.
