Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring an RN to deliver competent nursing care guided by the nursing process and professional standards across clinical areas.

The role requires an RN-Diploma/ASN/BSN/MSN with licensure in Virginia or a compact state, and BLS within 90 days. Preferred BSN/MSN. This position supports patient education and health promotion in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school (Required)
• BSN or MSN (Preferred)
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing (Required)
• Basic Life Support Certification (Required within 90 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across clinical areas following the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, evaluation).
• Adhere to standards of professional performance including ethics, cultural congruence, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, and resource utilization.
