Position Description: | The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine, is recruiting for a research position. We welcome applicants for an open rank research, clinical, or tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor level, based on experience. Candidates must have a PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent from an accredited institution. Applicants should articulate a research plan aligned with Departmental goals and be able to secure external funding. Successful candidates will need to disclose any misconduct history and will undergo background checks. |
Education Requirement: | PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent from an accredited institution. |
Required Qualifications: | Minimum three years of research productivity/training beyond degree. Demonstrated potential for extramural funding, peer-reviewed publications, and research productivity. PhD applicants should have a focus related to primary care research. MD/DO applicants must be board-certified in Family Medicine and practice some clinical medicine. For senior levels, a record of teaching, publications, and funding is required. |
Desirable Qualifications: | Ability to engage in multidisciplinary collaboration and experience promoting inclusivity. |
