VA in Boise, ID seeks a physician to provide direct patient care in a team-based primary care setting. You will perform histories and exams, manage outpatient and inpatient care, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team within the PACT model.

The role emphasizes evidence-based medicine, use of electronic medical records, and opportunities for professional development. Eligible for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) and may include incentives; schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• MD degree from an approved medical school.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Residency training in an approved program leading to board eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Performs initial histories and physical examinations on outpatients.
• Provides ongoing outpatient and inpatient care for assigned patients.
• Prescribes medications within defined scope of practice.
• Orders diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests, X-rays, and EKGs.
• Initiates, responds to, and expedites requests for consultations and studies.
• Provides education and counseling on preventive care and treatments.
