Job summary

A community-focused healthcare organization in southeast Kansas near the Missouri and Oklahoma borders is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician. BE/BC physicians with Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Full licensure to practice medicine in Kansas and/or Oklahoma.
• Graduation from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an appropriate residency.
• Board Certified in the appropriate specialty.
• Strong community/public health orientation preferred.
• Commitment to serving underserved populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including preventive, acute and chronic care.
• Manage patient conditions through coordinated care plans and follow-up.
• Collaborate with behavioral health providers and other care team members.
• Provide referrals to internal specialists and external resources as needed.
• Prescribe medications and provide clinical consultation to other providers.
• Opportunity to supervise APPs and medical students as assigned.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of patient care.
• Serve a diverse, underserved patient population in a community-oriented setting.
• Participate in after-hours call system, including inpatient care as assigned.
