Job summary

A community-focused healthcare organization in southeast Kansas is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician. BE/BC physicians with a background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics are encouraged to apply.

Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, manage conditions with coordinated plans, and collaborate with behavioral health providers. You may supervise APPs and medical students and participate in quality initiatives to serve an underserved population.

Qualifications

• Full licensure to practice medicine in Kansas and/or Oklahoma.
• Graduation from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an appropriate residency.
• Board Certified in the appropriate specialty.
• Strong community/public health orientation preferred.
• Commitment to serving underserved populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care including preventive, acute and chronic care.
• Manage patient conditions through coordinated care plans and appropriate follow-up.
• Collaborate with behavioral health providers and other members of the care team.
• Provide referrals to internal specialists and external community resources as needed.
• Prescribe medications and provide clinical consultation to other providers.
• Opportunity to supervise APPs and medical students, as assigned.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain high standards of patient care.
• Serve a diverse, underserved patient population in a community-oriented setting.
• Participate in an after-hours call system, including care for the inpatient population, as assigned
