Job summary

CVHS Health Services in Virginia is seeking a physician for a high-volume primary care practice. You will examine, diagnose, and treat patients, prescribe medications, and coordinate care across specialists. The role involves after-hours on-call coverage on a rotating basis.

Applicants must have an MD or DO, complete residency in a primary care discipline, and be licensed to practice in Virginia. CVHS offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for ongoing CME and staff

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree (AMA or AOA approved).
• Completed residency in a primary care discipline (family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics).
• Licensed to practice in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care including examination, diagnosis and treatment.
• Prescribe or dispense medications as needed and review medical records.
• Lead and supervise clinical staff; participate in quality assurance and committees.
