Job summary

Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey, seeks a Primary Care Physician with a focus in Perioperative Medicine to join its Division of Perioperative Medicine. The role includes outpatient perioperative optimization with the option for primary care and a daytime schedule with limited weekends.

Eligible candidates may pursue a faculty appointment with the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine from an accredited program.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Ability to obtain a New Jersey Medical License.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient perioperative optimization and primary care services.
  • Contribute to the perioperative optimization program within a large academic Department of Medicine.
  • Maintain daytime practice with limited weekends.
  • Collaborate on faculty appointment opportunities with Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Primary Care Physician with a focus in Perioperative Medicine to join our recently established Division of Perioperative Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to become a member of an innovative and high-performing center of excellence. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Requirements Include:

  • M.D./D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School
  • Residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine from an accredited program
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Ability to obtain a New Jersey Medical License

  • Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.
  • Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
