Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health in Connecticut seeks an MD or DO with ABIM-recognized Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency to join a collaborative practice. You will work with 3 board-certified physicians and an APRN, FNP, delivering comprehensive primary care in a team-based setting using EPIC EMR.

The role emphasizes preventive care, chronic disease management, and same-day access with a strong referral network within Yale NewHaven Health.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ABIM-recognized Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency (3 years minimum).
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; Connecticut medical license.
• Current BLS certification and DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Involve patients and their families in care decisions.
• Create treatment plans and document in patient charts.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians and management on care delivery improvements.
• Initiate appropriate specialty referrals.
• Ensure proper patient documentation is accurate and complete.
• Coordinate with billing and CPT coding to ensure proper processes.

Qualifications

Education

Degree of MD or DO with ABIM-recognized Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency (three years minimum).

Experience

Preferred: Professional clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

Licensure

Valid American Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and renewed (if needed) prior to expiration. Valid and unrestricted Connecticut medical license BLS certification Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate
