OptumCare Colorado is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join the Golden View team near Denver, in Golden, Colorado. You will provide full-scope primary care services and work with a collaborative team supported by EPIC EMR, on-site Practice Manager and dedicated MA.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted CO medical license or ability to obtain before start date.
• Current DEA certificate or ability to obtain before start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope primary care services.
• Examine, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
• Counsel and educate patients and families.
• Complete timely documentation using EMR.
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and procedures.
• Order labs and imaging and coordinate care with specialists.
• Ensure timely documentation and maintain quality of care standards.
• Supervise Physician Assistants / Nurse Practitioners as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• As a Primary Care Physician, you will provide full scope primary care services.
• Examine diagnose and treat patients for acute and chronic conditions or concerns injuries, infections, and illnesses
• Counsel and educate patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concerns
• Complete timely and thorough documentation using our EMR system
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures
• Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provide advice on follow up
• Responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services
• Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner
• Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice
• Supervise Physician Assistants / Nurse Practitioners as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Unrestricted CO state license, or the ability to obtain prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year working in outpatient primary care
• Experience in providing patient care under a population health model

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $237,500 - $384,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
