Job summary

NorthBay Health, serving the Napa region, seeks a Board Certified Family or Internal Medicine physician to join our Center for Primary Care. The role emphasizes outpatient care with a balanced call schedule and access to a collaborative team of physicians and APPs.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
• Proven experience in a primary care setting
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
• Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
• Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
• Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient
• Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary
• Represents the practice at Hospital committees in such a manner that the burden of attending the meetings is reasonably distributed among all of the physicians in the group
• Collaborate and manage APPs
