Job summary

Hillside Medical Group in Stone Oak, San Antonio, seeks a Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine) to join our established outpatient practice. The physician will provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and coordination with specialists, APPs, and clinical staff.

Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine and an active Texas medical license (DEA registration required) are preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine required.
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong clinical and communication skills; ability to collaborate with APPs and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult patients.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct physical examinations, preventive screenings, and health assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage conditions including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular disease.
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
• Prescribe medications and provide patient education.
• Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult patients.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct physical examinations, preventive screenings, and health assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage conditions including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular disease, and other common internal medicine conditions.
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
