Job summary

IMA Medical Group in South Lakeland, FL, seeks a qualified Physician to provide routine primary care in a fast-paced, patient-focused clinic. You will conduct examinations, order tests, prescribe treatments and counsel families, with emphasis on high-quality care and privacy compliance.

Requirements include Florida license, Board eligibility/certification in FP or IM, BLS, EMR experience (Athena preferred) and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• Current Florida License (Full or ACN) or ability to obtain one.
• BLS certification.
• EMR experience (Athena preferred).
• Primary Care Physician practice experience.
• Experience managing Medicare Advantage patients or Value-Based Care.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
• Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Interviews, examines and diagnoses patients during clinic visits.
• Orders appropriate diagnostic tests, interprets results, and communicates treatment options.
• May refer patient to medical specialist when necessary.
• Reviews and maintains patient records and medical histories in timely fashion.
• May perform minor procedures such as wound care, suturing, joint aspirations and injections and administer immunizations.
• Prescribes medications and treatment regimens for identified conditions.
• Discusses potential side effects and allergy information with patients.
• Ensures accurate billing by recording correct diagnoses and information.
• Stays current with medical research, practices and procedures.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Participates in monthly provider meetings and performance reviews.
