Job Description

The Department of Family & Community Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, is accepting candidates for the position of outpatient Primary Care Physician at Jefferson Health East Passyunk Family Medicine. Located in South Philadelphia near Methodist Hospital, just minutes from Center City and in the vibrant East Passyunk district, this role offers a supportive environment serving a diverse community.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing outpatient family medicine care (ages 12+)
2. Managing 2-3 patients per hour with protected time for administrative tasks (32 hours clinical, 8 hours administrative)
3. Establishing and maintaining patient panels, managing chronic, acute, and preventive care
4. Providing women's health services, including routine GYN exams and LARCs if credentialed
5. Participating in at-home telephone call once monthly from 5-9PM within a large DFCM call pool
6. Collaborating with an interprofessional team including MAs, behavioral health, social workers, and population health specialists

Qualified applicants will hold an MD or DO, be board certified or eligible in Family Medicine, and possess or obtain a PA medical license.
