Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs invites applications for a Primary Care Physician at the Fayetteville VA Coastal Health care System (FVACHCS) within the VHA Mid-Atlantic Network.

You will provide comprehensive primary care to Veterans, lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure quality and timely services, and coordinate with other services to meet Joint Commission and IG standards. You will manage acute and chronic conditions, involve patients and families in care planning, and utilize CPRS

Qualifications

United States Citizenship requirement.
Degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States.
Completed residency in an approved core specialty; board certification eligibility.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-disciplinary primary care team to provide comprehensive care for Veterans.
Deliver primary care including health history, examination, education, and treatment planning.
Initiate referrals, order diagnostics, and manage medications as part of care coordination.
Record and document patient encounters in the CPRS system; ensure timely care.
Collaborate with services to meet accreditation and performance standards.
