Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Fayetteville VA Coastal Health Care System is seeking a Primary Care Physician to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver comprehensive care to Veterans enrolled with the Primary Care Service Line.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO from an approved medical school.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
• Board certified or board eligible in an appropriate specialty.
• Excellent English communication and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to a panel of Veterans in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Lead and coordinate care, referrals, and diagnostics for timely treatment.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, health maintenance, and patient education.
• Record clinical information in CPRS on each patient encounter.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other accrediting standards.
