U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Primary Care Staff Physician in Hyannis, MA. The role covers comprehensive primary care across the patient panel with emphasis on prevention and chronic disease management.

The position offers the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) with potential loan repayment, competitive federal benefits, and a Monday–Friday schedule. Candidates must meet VA medical qualification standards and licensure requirements.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship as required by VA policy
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree (MD/DO) from an approved school
  • Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
  • Completed residency in an approved core specialty
  • Board certification or eligibility as applicable to VA physicians
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Preferred: 3 years of Primary Care experience

Responsabilités

  • Provide primary care across the continuum of care for assigned patient panel
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and manage cases
  • Coordinate care with case management and care teams
  • Develop and implement care plans using best practice guidelines
  • Document care clearly in medical records and sign notes timely
  • Supervise clinicians and allied health trainees as needed
  • Participate in performance improvement and medical center committees
  • Adhere to credentialing, privileging, and CME requirements
