Job summary

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Englewood, Florida, seeks a qualified Primary Care Physician to join the Englewood Clinic. The successful candidate focuses on family medicine and leverages osteopathic or allopathic principles within a teaching environment.

You will precept and provide rotations for LECOM students, coordinate with Clinical Education, and ensure high-quality patient care in line with state and national standards.

Qualifications

• DO or MD degree required; Florida medical license.
• 2–5 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in teaching/precepting students is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet, assess and diagnose patients in the clinic per state and national standards.
• Prescribe medications, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments for patient recovery and health.
• Collaborate with the Department of Clinical Education to meet goals of primary care rotations.
• Obtain student feedback on the quality of clinical training.
• Coordinate curriculum with Clinical Education leadership and regional deans.
