Job summary

Carbon Health is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time Primary Care Clinician role in California. You will practice at the top of your license, provide patient-centered care, and benefit from a 4-day work week with no call, no weekends, and holidays off.

You’ll conduct patient histories, perform exams, and manage adult care with support from a central team, while leading medical staff and collaborating with supervising physicians.

Qualifications

• Certified NP or PA with an active state license.
• Current national certification and unrestricted DEA license.
• At least 1 year of primary care or similar clinical experience.
• Comfortable providing adult care and basic women’s health services.
• Tech-savvy and adaptable, with a passion for patient-centered innovation.
• Dedicated to teamwork, transparency, and continuous learning.
• BLS certification is required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient histories and physical exams.
• Provide basic women’s health services, including Pap smears.
• Develop evidence-based workups and treatment plans.
• Care for adult patients (no pediatrics).
• Interpret x-rays, lab results, and EKGs.
• Support patient flow with Central Support team.
• Provide leadership for medical assistants and clinic staff.
• Consult supervising physicians as needed within scope of practice.
• Manage a patient panel with evidence-based quality care.

Your Role

Full Time Salary (40 hours per week):

$137,800-$215,460

Carbon Health offers a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary and eligibility for additional incentive bonuses tied to wRVUs and quality performance metrics. Final offer amounts are determined based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, work history, and geographic location. We comply with all applicable state and local wage and hour laws.
