Job summary

The North Florida/ South Georgia VA Healthcare System's Primary Care Service in St. Augustine seeks an experienced physician to deliver quality primary care to Veterans and contribute to VA academic hospital programs.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a growing medical center. Preferred candidates hold an MD/DO with an unrestricted US license and board certification in Family or Internal Medicine.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from a school approved by VA.
Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
Residency in an accredited core specialty training program.
English proficiency (spoken and written).
Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and patient education within the Primary Care team.
Order and evaluate diagnostic tests and manage treatment/referrals.
Prescribe and manage medications; coordinate patient care across services.
Work within the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model and uphold ICARE values.
Adhere to schedule: COMPRESSED TOUR - 4 DAY - 10 HOUR WEEKDAY.
